Monkton Ridge Orchard
Monkton Ridge Orchard
Welcome to Monkton Ridge Orchard. We are a family run apple orchard located in the heart of Vermont's apple country. Rolling hills, scenic forests and views of the Adirondack Mountains make this area a popular autumn destination. Come visit us September through the end of October for U-pick or pre-picked apples, fresh pressed cider, homemade cider donuts and more. See you soon!
Our Orchard
In the summer of 2017, our family fell in love with a plot of land that included part of an established apple orchard planted in the 1930s. After a several years of living outside of New England, we immediately knew this was the place we wanted to call home while re-establishing our Vermont roots.
Over the past few years, we've
worked hard to bring new life to the original apple stand and orchard. Today,
we enjoy sharing our little piece of Vermont history with the public.
Apples, Fresh Cider & More!
We grow many varieties of apples including Macintosh, Honey Crisp, Cortland, Northern Spy, Greenings, Empires, Jonagold, Golden Delicious, Crispin & Wagner. We welcome you to pick your own apples or grab a bag of pre-picked to go.
In addition to sharing in our bounty of apples, take home a jug of fresh cider made in our restored early 1900s press, munch on some homemade cider donuts and apple pies, pick out some colorful Vermont-grown mums, and enjoy our selection of local artwork.
Barn Quilts
For centuries, quilt blocks have been painted on barns to celebrate and honor tradition and heritage. A resurgence of the barn quilt tradition has recently cropped up all over the country in the form of wooden squares painted to look like quilt blocks.
At Monkton Ridge Orchard, we are continuing the tradition of honoring quilters and American history with a selection of hand painted barn quilts offered in a variety of styles and sizes. Visit our Barn Quilts Page or stop by today to see them all!
